Ultraviolet Resistance - The ability of a fabric to retain its strength and resist degradation despite exposure to direct sunlight.
Unbalanced Plain Weave - A type of weave with more and/or heavier yarns running in the warp direction than the weft direction or vice versa.
Uneven Shrinkage - A wavy, warpwise condition created by an uneven shrinking of the fabric. When uneven shrinkage has occurred, the fabric is usually unable to lay flat on a horizontal surface such as a table.
